Fuel Assistance
Fuel Assistance Program runs from Nov1st-April 30th
During the winter months of Nov15th-March 15th there is a winter moratorium where they can not shut off your heat do to financial hardship
If you are a family of 1 you will qualify for assistance if you make less than $35,510 a year
If you are a family of 4 you will qualify for assistance if you make less than $68,000 a year
Most people believe since they don’t qualify for other state assistance that they will not qualify for fuel assistance, however that is not the case. Attached to this post is the financial statistic you have to fall within to qualify.
The program is a first come first serve bases. In order to apply look at the document attached, find the town you reside in and contact the organization it is listed under.
On the document attached it also states what information you need to bring with you. It is very important to note that every person in that household has to prove there legal status (birth certificate, ect) If there is one person who can not prove there legal status then part of the financial stipend will be cut. (Example a family of 4, only 3 people can prove there legal status there stipend will be cut by 25%) However they do not report any undocumented person to another agency.
